Thrift Savings Plan

What is a Thrift Savings Plan? (TSP) It’s an investment fund which will help you for retirement. It’s like having stocks, except this stock you cannot cash in until its time to retire. It has its benefits, still better than leaving it in the bank hoping that your money grows. The TSP is designed for you to use time for your advantage. I have the (G) Fund. (Government Securities Investment) Fund. This is a fund that will never lose money, it’ll always gain; however the only downfall to this is:  Small growth. It may only grow 2% in a year, though if you have $10,000 in it, you would have earned $200 this year or more if you’re still contributing. I don’t have much money in my TSP because at first I didn’t know what it was all about and how to work with it. I did however have $185.60 in mine, by the end of the year, without me contributing anything else, I had $191.29.
